UPLB, represented by Chancellor Jose V. Camacho, Jr., and Thick and Thin Agri-Products, Inc. (Atlas Nutrition), represented by its General Manager, Mr. Charlie Hsieh, sealed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in a face-to-face ceremony held at Bienvenido M. Gonzales Hall last November 25.
The ceremony was opened by CAFS Associate Dean for Instruction, Dr. Adeliza A. Dorado who gave a brief introduction of the project. Also present to introduce the guests and attendees was IAS Director, Dr. Rommel C. Sulabo. Mr. Hsieh also gave a short message of hope and cooperation during the event.
The MOA signifies forging partnership between UPLB and the Atlas Nutrition. Part of the agreement is the implementation of internship programs for UPLB students where Atlas Nutrition will serve as Host Training Establishment (HTE) to provide students with necessary practical experience to prepare them in workplace setting.
To attest to the agreement, the ceremony was witnessed by CAFS Associate Dean for Research and Extension, Dr. Barbara L. Caoili; IAS Deputy Director, Dr. Christine B. Adiova; and Atlas Nutrition RND Supervisor, Ms. Leoren Anna F. Forcadilla.
Atlas Nutrition is involved in the production of animal feeds (hog, poultry, and aqua feeds), serving clients in the Philippines, and has accredited distributors, dealers, sub-dealers, and users.
