The Institute of Animal Science conducted the Zoomustahan 2021: A virtual consultation meeting with the IAS undergraduate students last February 26, 2021.
The said meeting was attended by BSA – Animal Science major students, BS ABT – Animal Biotechnology major students, faculty, and staff of the Institute. The meeting was aimed at providing a venue to gather student’s concerns, and sharing their experiences in the implementation of remote learning since last semester. IAS Director, Dr. Rommel C. Sulabo, welcomed the participants in an insightful message. CAFS Dean, Dr. Elpidio M. Agbisit, Jr., also gave a message of encouragement and inspiration among students thru a recorded video.
IAS Deputy Director, Dr. Christine B. Adiova, presented the guidelines for Second Semester AY 2020-2021. She also introduced the IAS Student Services Committees such as Student Health and Welfare, Learning Managements System (LMS) Technical Support, and SAIS Technical Support.
Breakout session for the BSA Animal Science major students and BS ABT Animal Biotechnology major students was also facilitated. During this session, the faculty members had a dialogue with the students about the implementation of remote learning. Practicum and thesis options were also discussed during this session. Students were also asked to answer the survey and evaluation form. Prof. John Kenneth T. Malilay, Chairperson of the IAS Social, Sports and External Affairs Committee delivered the closing remarks and reminded the students to foster excellence even in these trying times without compromising honour and integrity.
