Description: Principles of breeding, physiology and nutrition in relation to production, processing and marketing of animal products.

Course Outcomes:

  •    Explain the significance of animal science as a field in agriculture (AFFECTIVE)
  •    Describe the basic concepts and principles of animal physiology, breeding, nutrition, slaughtering, processing and marketing of animal products as they relate to animal productivity (COGNITIVE)
  •    Demonstrate basic skills in formulating simple animal rations, slaughtering animals and processing of products (PSYCHOMOTOR)
