This program aims to educate students towards a career in scientifically-based sustainable agriculture, to enable them to develop and effectively manage a self-reliant and economically viable agriculture-related enterprise and to prepare them to become professionals with social commitment.

Major in Animal Science

Students can specialize in the following areas:

  • Dairy Technology
  • Meat Science

In general, major students are strongly encouraged to take at least two (2) animal production courses and at least one (1) course in agricultural economics. These could be combined with other specialized courses.

Master of Science in Animal Science

The MS Animal Science program is designed for students with baccalaureate degrees to receive deeper academic background and postgraduate training in the following sub-disciplines  of Animal Science:

It is composed of 24 units coursework (15 units major; 9 units minor), 6 units of thesis, and 1 unit of seminar.

Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Science

The doctorate degree in Animal Science is a highly research-oriented program intended for MS Animal Science graduates who would want to gain advanced knowledge on a particular Animal Science niche.
